Reality Studio as a concept was born in 2006 and run together with UN-HABITAT, Chalmers Universiyty of Technology and University of Nairobi, School of Arts and Design. The design project shall in some way support and improve everyday life of local people. However, the project should be realisable without any resources (material and human) from outside that could not be found in the local context. The concluding exhibition and communication with local people serve as an input to the final stage proposed designed solutions and the development of reports and projects back at the home university.
